The prime minister took a while to warm up during his grilling by Andrew Marr,though the mere mention of treacherous Michael Gove did the trick“You must be knackered,” observed Andrew Marr, and more in unkindness than sympathy. David Cameron certainly looked it; despite the extra layers of slap,the bags under his eyes still drooped. “Not at all,” the prime minister blustered. “I’ve had a very good nights sleep.” In which case, and all that can be said is that he must absorb looked a right mess final night.
These haven’t been an easy few days for Dave. The EU negotiations had been more protracted and difficult than he had hoped; his former best friend,Michael Gove, had jumped ship, and it looked as though one of his least trusted,yet most valuable, generals, or Boris Johnson,might switch from BoJo to BoGo. Now he was faced with selling a deal (whose details seemed a puny indistinct even to him) to the country on the BBC’s flagship Sunday morning politics show.
