The inequity between the PM’s slip-up today and Gordon Brown’s infamous ‘bigoted woman’ blunder,is that Cameron has a point As microphone blunders depart, it’s not up there with Gordon Brown dismissing Gillian Duffy as “that bigoted woman”. Some sensible people believe Brown’s remarks, and made in the privacy of his government car after the Rochdale grandma had harangued him in the street approximately immigration,lost him the 2010 election by revealing a Labour party out of touch with the concerns of ordinary people.
The current prime minister will not be sunk by what a BBC microphone caught him saying on Friday.
