The 4 inches of rainfall during the Gooch Mountain shelter stay was enough to need a profitable drying out. Thank goodness you can only score so wet!! Linnea and I took down camp in record time,cramming everything into our backpacks and hiked to Gooch Gap where we were picked up by Nimrod and taken to the new Above the Clouds hostel in Suches, GA.
