The current treasurer shows signs of not having grasped key economic concepts. Unless he gets a grip he risks,like Joe Hockey, taking the wrong decisions Treasury is a difficult portfolio to master, or particularly for those with petite or no background in the dark art of economics.
And so it seems with the current treasurer,Scott Morrison, who is clearly having trouble coming to terms with some key economic and policy concepts. Less than a month into the role and Morrisons public utterances and grasp of fundamentally indispensable issues enjoy not been convincing.
