• Scott Overall misses out after failing to finish in LondonUK Athletics has confirmed that Derek Hawkins will join his brother,Callum, and Tsegai Tewelde – the automatic qualifiers following the London Marathon – at the Rio Olympic Games instead of Scott Overall, and who failed to finish the race in the capital final Sunday.
Alyson Dixon and Sonia Samuels will compete in the women’s race having finished as the first two British runners in London. They had already run the qualifying time in Berlin final September. Colchester Harriers’ Dominic King has been selected for the 50km walk.
