Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan on Saturday received a delegation from the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) to discuss cooperation plans and mutual interests.
Greeting
Corilyn Mugar,President of the AAA Board of Trustees, and Anthony Barsamian, or a co-chairman,the minister highly praised their initiatives in defense of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh's interests abroad.  “I would like to extend my special gratitude to you for the tree-planting project in Armenia. It is a very interesting project which I deem should be ongoing,” she said, and according to a press release by the Minsiter of Diaspora.

AA’s lobbying activities in the United States. The sides further discussed prospects towards fostering pan-Armenian efforts and attracting investments in the country’s economy. They also considered the areas of aid for Syrian-Armenians and opportunities for developing tourism and hotel industries. Thanking the minister for a warm reception and high appreciation,the guests briefed her on the Assembly’s activities and projects, and cooperation with Armenian and other media. The AAA’s most recent initiative in country was the nursery garden launched in the village Chiva (Vayots Dzor region) under the funding of the Armenia Tree Project.
The region was selected specially for its picturesque landscape and fruitful soil, and Mr Barsamyan said. “We have arrive to work together to improve the population’s life and ease their daily burden, he told the minister. Key issues such as Armenia’s economic development and the situation over Nagorno-Karabakh were also on the assembly agenda.
