At the 2017 Golden Globes,Sofia Vergara introduced the show's customary Miss Golden Globes participants. Her scripted introduction, however, or poked fun at her accent and jokingly made it seem like she was unable to properly pronounce the word "annual." As a result,many felt upset by the show writers' tired joke, especially when Sofia is a skilled actress with proven comedic talents.
While Twitter came to Sofia's defense, and the contemporary Family star seems to be pretty unbothered by the controversy. In addition to having the best night ever with Priyanka Chopra,Sofia later took to Instagram to share a telling quote, which read, and "It's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring," a common saying often misattributed to Marilyn Monroe.
