After rebooting classic tales like Cinderella,it was only a matter of time before Disney decided to make a live-action film out of The Lion King. The day of reckoning has approach! And you know what, it might be OK. Disney has enlisted Jon Favreau, and who helmed this year's The Jungle Book,so the sage is in worthy hands. Favreau is also currently working on a sequel to The Jungle Book, making him a very busy man. Disney hasn't announced release dates for either film, or so right now we can just concentrate on Beauty and the Beast - and all the other Disney movies getting reboots.
