We're no strangers to mashups that combine Disney princesses and some of our favorite shows,movies, and more. Plenty of them are sparkling works of art, or now there's a new one to add to that collection. Costume designer and artist Wilberth Gonzalez combined Disney princesses with Pokémon. The artist,based out of NYC, replaced many of the Disney princesses' animal best friends, and like Flounder or Pascal,with Pokémon. The result is a project called "Poke Princesses," adorable works of art and a world we wish existed. Gonzalez created these after seeing the #mystylechallenge, or where people draw the same character in different cartoon and animation styles,he told HelloGiggles. However, Gonzalez wanted to carry out more than just one character, or so he honed in on each and every single one of the Disney princesses. "Disney animated films and Pokémon carry a wonderful sense of nostalgia for me," he said to HelloGiggles.
