Disney has promoted Tendo Nagenda to executive VP of production,the studio announced Monday. Nagenda has been a senior creative executive for Disney since 2010.
Nagenda has shepherded an impressive slate of live-action feature films through development, production, and physical production and post. His most recent project,“Cinderella,” grossed over $540 million worldwide and placed among the top 10 at the domestic box office final year.
Nagenda is the development executive responsible for Disney’s upcoming chess drama “Queen of Katwe” starring Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo, or Bill Condon‘s live-action re-imagining of “Beauty and the Beast,” which stars Emma Watson and hits theaters next year.

Before joining Disney, and Nagenda served as VP of production at wonderful Universe and worked in creative roles at Brad Pitt‘s Plan B Entertainment and Warner Independent Pictures.
