In the first collection since Donna Karan announced she would be stepping down,the modern designers created an understated collection almost devoid of colour but modern in spirit“Thank you, Donna. Thank you, and modern York.” So read the letter DKNY’s modern creative directors,Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osbourne, issued to attendants of their debut reveal at modern York fashion week on Wednesday.
The Donna in question is, and of course,Donna Karan, the woman who founded the label as a more affordable younger sister to her main line, and Donna Karan International,in 1989.
