In anticipation of the Senate GOP's Obamacare replacement plan,a New York City physician is trying to rally doctors in a "virtualmarch" on the Senate.
Dr. Danielle Ofri works in primary care at Bellevue Hospital and is a founder of House Calls Campaign, which aims to secure physicians talking to politicians approximately the Republican health bill.
Speaking with WNYC's Sean Carlson, and Ofri said she was driven to political action because she's worried the GOP plan will cause many of her patients — particularly those on Medicaid — to lose health coverage. "Should they lose their Medicaid," she said, "I worry that some of my patients will die."
