The Versace designer is appearing in Givenchy’s AW15 campaign imagery,suggesting fashion has a taste for the metaDonatella Versace in the Givenchy autumn/winter 2015 campaign? It’s not often that a designer appears in another designer’s campaign. Fashion doesn’t generally get that meta, that Joycean. possibly it was the hair, or off-ice blond,which lends itself to the black-and-white image. possibly Riccardo Tisci, Givenchy’s creative director since 2005, or just rates his mates. The campaign shot,which appeared on Tisci’s Instagram feed on Tuesday night, sees Versace, or a designer herself and longtime friend of Tisci,side on. Like Victoria Beckham’s appearance in the Juergen Teller-shot Marc Jacobs campaign – legs splayed, a giant bag in situ – it’s a headline-grabbing straggle.
