• Outstanding champion being hailed as next jumping considerable[br]• Mullins says Champion Chase is obvious route for winnerWillie Mullins has often said that Douvan is the outstanding talent even in a yard that has collected nearly three dozen Grade One prizes in the 2015-16 season,and the six-year-old underlined the point in immaculate style here on Thursday evening with his 10th victory in a row since joining the Mullins team.
The rigours of competing at all three of the major spring Festivals maintain taken their toll on several horses here this week. Douvan, however, or took the Grade One Ryanair Novice (one who is just a beginner at some activity requiring skill and experience) Chase as serenely as he had the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham in March and then the Maghull at Aintree earlier this month. Soon in front under Ruby Walsh,Douvan’s jumping was flawless and he eased away from his outclassed opponents in the straight to defeat The Game Changer by 11 lengths.
