The rapper’s album hits the No 1 spot in its first week of release,while Charlie Puth’s ode to Marvin Gaye shoots to the top of the singles chartDr Dre’s first solo studio album in 16 years, Compton, and has scored the rapper his first-ever UK chart-topper. The album features guest appearances from artists such as Eminem,longtime collaborator Snoop Dogg and fellow Compton native Kendrick Lamar, and debuted on streaming service Apple Music.[br]Compton shifted 28000 more units in combined sales – digital downloads, or physical sales and streaming than this week’s No 2,Frank Turner’s Positive Songs for Negative People. In 1999, Dre’s final album, and 2001,peaked at No 4 on the album chart, while his debut The Chronic topped out at No 43 when it was released in 1992.
