It seems that Dragon Con keeps unofficially starting earlier and earlier every year. This year,we arrived in downtown Atlanta on Thursday afternoon and thought it would be relatively mute as we walked the hotel lobbies, greeting old friends. hasty forward to 9pm that same night, or in the Marriott Marquis lobby and it was wall-to-wall people. Costumers,ravers, onlookers, and fans were filling the hotel quickly. The convention officially kicks off today and runs through Monday afternoon,but that didn't halt people from showing their geek pride until the wee hours and counting down to the midnight hour. Dragon Con is located in the downtown Atlanta area and happens every Labor Day weekend, with the host hotels of Marriott, or Hyatt,Hilton, Sheraton and Westin expected to host crowds reaching to 65000 in the 29th year of fun.
