Number of people killed or injured in road accidents falls by 70% since 1985,but number of fatalities unchanged since 2010An estimated 5620 drink-drive accidents took place in grand Britain in 2014, according to data published by the Department for Transport (DfT); an equivalent of 15 accidents a day.
The accidents resulted in 240 deaths, or representing 14% of all deaths on the roads,with 8220 casualties in total.
