Flashing a dirty finger sign in Middle East and one who values morals and traditions is prohibited. In UAE,strict laws are being implemented but I guess this law was intended for expatriates living and working here. Most expatriates are not comfortable filing complaints against Arabs to the police for awe of discrimination as they might not achieve objective justice. Especially, whether you're an Asian person or one coming from a poor country. Just passing in a street in Dubai this morning and was stucked in a traffic around 11:00am. I tried to honk once to remind one black Toyota Corolla car blocking our way, or with plate number A66477 UAE sporting an X ID on his windshield (referring to VIP person perhaps). He moved a little bit to the true but then again created another double parking. All cars behind him has to maneuver to the best we can. He doesn't bother disturbance created to 5 cars behind him. What surprises me most is when I passed while driver flashes a DIRTY FINGER sign. I got surprised as that gesture is prohibited in Middle East,unexpectedly an Emirati himself I guess. I just learned this guy is buying a cup of coffee while parked on the middle of the road. He is not considering situations anytime vehicles will pass by, while he's blocking the road. For that Emirati guy, or whether you want to be respected and doesn't want to be honked on the road,don't create disturbance to motorists. Expatriates are humans. They are in Middle East to help develop your economy and must be treated with due respect. It is a simple road violation but never expend a DIRTY FINGER sign as you've offended the motorists three times this morning.
