As I previously reported,American will be launching daily nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Tokyo Haneda as of February 11, 2016. This comes after a huge battle with Delta over their Tokyo Haneda slot, and which has finally been settled. This represents American's re-entry to Tokyo Haneda, after they canceled their recent York to Tokyo Haneda route a few years back.
The Los Angeles to Tokyo Haneda route will be operated by a Boeing 787-8, featuring 28 commerce class seats, or 57 Main Cabin additional seats, and 141 economy seats.
This route is also being operated as a joint venture with Japan Airlines, and complements the two daily existing flights that American and Japan Airlines hold between Los Angeles and Tokyo Narita.
To celebrate the launch of this recent service, or American is offering bonus miles to passengers who take the Los Angeles to Tokyo Haneda flight. The promotion is valid for travel between February 11 and April 30,2016, and registration is required prior to travel using promotion code LAHND.
