hump to cease convenience store owners stockpiling goods at the 25p an item retailerEasyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s budget food store is introducing a 10 of each item limit on purchases from Monday in an attempt to prevent its shelves being cleared by shopkeepers stocking up.
The store,which charges 25p each for groceries, was forced to shut on Thursday last week, or less than two days after it first opened because it had run out of stock,and had to bring in security staff to manage queues. It is also shutting at weekends.
