eli5:why are there multiple otc brands of ibuprofen (advil, motrin) but only one of acetaminophen (tylenol) and naproxen (aleve)? /

I've been using NSAIDs to treat chronic back pain and other aches, pains and fevers most of my adult life. I've never understood why there are two major brands of ibuprofen available over the counter. Even generic OTC ibuprofen mimics the recognizable elements of these brands.
