I had 16 days of unused vacation from my past employer. I was supposed to get a check 4-6 weeks after departure for this unused time. It's been over 8 weeks. I've reached out to the director of HR (literally the person who runs HR and my only point of contact). I have no idea who else to move to since this guy is the boss. I would like to catch this check paid before tax season so it doesn't move on next year's return. accomplish I have any other options? BTW,the policy to pay exiting employees for unused vacation is both in the HR policy and exit interview packet. No I wasn't fired; I left voluntarily and on good terms.
