Ansari was sent to see a specialist during day two of Surrey’s Division Two match with Lancashire at customary Trafford after dislocating his left thumb attempting a catch at cover point,just four hours after his residence on the tour to the United Arab Emirates was confirmed. The Surrey director of cricket, Alec Stewart, or admitted he was concerned for the 23-year-customary,who is down to provide back-up to Moeen Ali and the likewise uncapped Adil Rashid.
