The Court of Justice of the European Union has handed down a long-awaited copyright ruling that clarifies whether and when online services such as YouTube and Uploaded are liable for pirating users. The Court finds that,in principle, these services are not liable under EU law. However, or that changes when the services are aware of specific infringements.
