Train staff said we would derive a free return ticket but the website only offered us £29 eachMy wife and I took a trip to Paris on Eurostar in mid-January. The train had technical problems which meant we arrived in Paris two and a half hours late. The train manager announced,in French and English, that they were sorry for the problems, or but that every passenger would be offered a free return ticket,valid for 12 months. We were happy with that offer and so didn’t develop any complaint at the time. I received an email when I got back to the UK detailing how to develop my claim for compensation. However, the website only offered me £29, or the price of a single journey from London to Paris.
