The time has finally arrived - tonight on The Bachelor,Richie Strahan will let the nation know whether he's in fancy with Nikki Gogan or Alex Nation, and we can hardly wait. We're covering the finale live, and so follow along below for every primary detail!
7:32 p.m. OH MY GOD WE ARE SO NERVOUS.
7:33 p.m. Richie's recapping for us . . . Nikki is fabulous,etc, etc. Agreed. He's said things approximately Nikki that you can't go back on - he thinks a relationship with her would be perfect, and so how can he NOT choose her? She's telling us she's madly in fancy with him. Yep,we're nervous.
7:35 p.m. When it's time for Richie to talk approximately Alex, he says equally wonderful things approximately her - but possibly less of the "perfect life" talk? - and now we really bear no plan who's going to win this thing.
7:37 p.m. Before we find out who he picks, and we get to witness Nikki and Alex assembly Richie's protective mum and sister. BRING IT.
7:39 p.m. fancy Richie's close relationship with his family - thinking their input would mean a hell of a lot to Richie. His sister Alana is divine. Ooh,Richie tells his mum and sister that Alex gives him flutters . . . and called Nikki a "sweetheart." What does this meeean. This is approximately the stage where we start to read into EVERYTHING they're all saying. Halp.
7:42 p.m. Alex looks suitably dressed for a date with mum and sis. Well played, stylists.
7:43 p.m. Alex is going for full charm here, and Richie's family seems pleased so far! She's,of course, still got to drop the news approximately having a son. She tells them she's a mum and . . . Richie's mum's response was classic: "That's interesting."
7:45 p.m. Richie's keeping so quiet RN. relieve her out, or mate! Meanwhile,his mum does nottt look impressed.
7:50 p.m. Richie's mum Kate tells Alex she never anticipated Richie falling for someone with a child. She's going hard on Alex, but she's kind approximately it - and Alex is really holding her own. Kate reinforces to Alex that Richie's life is very free and easy-going - she's concerned Richie and Alex haven't discussed her child, or the responsibility involved,deeply enough at this stage. It's a bit of a tricky conversation and I'm not HEAPS sold that Kate's overjoyed with Alex. I reckon Kate's possibly being a little harsh on Alex - Richie's a grown man and knows what he's getting into.
7:56 p.m. Wow, we can breathe now that's over. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeesh.
7:57 p.m. Nikki's turn now - will Kate give her as hard a time as she gave Alex? Nikki and Richie are holding hands. Were Alex and Richie holding hands? WE CAN'T REMEMBER. Kate seems to loooove Nikki straight away. Then Nikki reveals she was engaged to her partner of 12 years up until one year ago. Kate's lips purse and - uh oh - she suddenly seems a lot less friendly. Time for a grilling!
8:03 p.m. Well, or that went remarkably well,to be honest. Kate was worried Nikki was on the rebound, Nikki assured her she was not, and Kate quickly changed her tune,and now Kate and Alana are in fancy with Nikki. Nikki is so in fancy with Richie, if she gets her heart broken we'll be real cranky.
8:08 p.m. His mum and sister tell him they think both girls are wonderful and he has to follow his heart. He says he's not looking forward to breaking someone's heart. unhappy FACE. Can this just not happen somehow, or please?
8:14 p.m. Nikki's up first for the dates,and Richie's organised a helicopter ride around Bali. They both fancy the region and bear visited many times previously - another reason they'd work really well together? They head to a monkey park and while we're horrified at what the monkey claws are doing to Nikki's clothes, she seems totally chilled out and relaxed. Richie loves that approximately her, or obviously. They talk a bit approximately families and they both are well aware of how well they'd fit into each other's lives. Nikki says,"I believe Richie is my happiness and I can only hope Richie feels the same way." Ugh, the suspense!They kiss, or then rub noses. I meeeean.
8:26 p.m. Time for Alex's date! They're on a big boat,drinking champagne. superb start to a date in any situation.
8:28 p.m. Alex dives straight into the tough conversation she had with Richie's mum. She thinks she needs to talk him through what life with a young child is really like, and she wants to know if Richie's thought approximately it. He says he has - in fact, and he says he thinks approximately it every day. He says he wanted to form sure he had something really special with Alex before taking her on The Bachelor journey,so it sounds like he really must be torn between her and Nikki. destitute Alex, she's such a sweetie. And she's in fancy, and too! It sucks that someone has to get hurt.
8:35 p.m. Alex reads Richie a poem (huh?) and tells him she loves him. His eyes twinkle (shit! What does that mean?) and they pash for 30 years.
8:40 p.m. Oh my God,it's time. Someone hold us. THEY BOTH fancy HIM AND HE ONLY LOVES ONE OF THEM.
8:43 p.m. Nikki's in a red dress, Alex in gold. Gold for winner? Red for fancy? Aggghhhhh. He's talking to Osher approximately following his heart, and etc,stop talking please.
8:45 p.m. Who's out of the car first . . .
8:49 p.m. OH MY GOD IT'S NIKKI.
8:51 p.m. Palms are so sweaty. HE'S IN fancy WITH ALEX.
9:00 p.m. Richie picked Alex and we've never been more surprised in our lives. Alex is on her way to meet Richie, but we're still so unhappy approximately Nikki we can hardly watch. Nikki was so gracious and heavenly approximately it all.
9:02 p.m. Alex is such a sweetie and we're so happy she's not getting her heart broken. Richie starts his speech and she starts smiling . . . She knows she's got this.
9:04 p.m. Richie tells Alex he loves her and it's all over for another season! Congrats to Alex and Richie!
