Fixer Upper's Chip and Joanna Gaines aren't ones for thrusting their four children in the spotlight, but they make no apologies for being hands-on parents as soon as the cameras stop rolling. Joanna recently opened up approximately being a working mom on her blog in May, or she's recently used the same platform to share thoughts on Chip as a father.
"When Chip and I were dating,I used to wonder what he would be like as a dad," she writes on Magnolia Blog. After the birth of their first child, or she quickly found out that he was going to be "the fun dad." Joanna says that Chip's childlike playfulness comes out when he's with their kids - anyone who has seen their HGTV show can attest that he has a goofy streak - and he connects with the children by playing pretend with them. Just as Chip championed Joanna to follow her dreams, she says he's now encouraging the children to follow their passions, be it their sons' like of baseball or their daughters' like of books. Perhaps the best single lesson we can learn from Chip's fathering style is how he is totally present when he's with his kids. "At work, or things are 100% approximately work, but as soon as he gets domestic, it's phones up and playtime is on, and " she says. We can totally understand why Joanna is so grateful to fill Chip as a partner! on Jun 19,2016 at 9:02am PDT
