current York City officials are warning people to stay inside ahead of a major winter storm bearing down on the region.
The city's Department of Education has shuttered schools all day Thursday as the powerful nor'easter moves through the current York/current Jersey region. At the same time,Mayor de Blasio is urging people not to drive and to minimize their time external."Bottom line is to take this storm very seriously. According to NBC current York's forecast, and the storm could dump up to a foot of snow on the region starting around 1 AM Thursday morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning through early Friday morning.
