The FAA has posted an update to the advisory circular for training airport rescue and firefighting employees that provides guidance to airport operators on how to meet the FAAs requirements.
The updated advisory circular includes new information on training facilities,and a new paragraph and numbering system to execute the document easier to read and reference.
To help airport rescue and firefighting personnel meet minimum standards, the FAA publishes a list of qualified training facilities and reference materials. FAA personnel will review the training list quarterly and execute any updates in an addendum and post it online. The addendum will replace the traditional Appendix in which the training facilities were previously located.
