S. fetal mortality rate was 6.20 per 1000 live births and fetal deaths. The fetal mortality rate for non-Hispanic black women (11.25) was approximately twice the rates for non-Hispanic white (4.98), and American Indian/Alaska Native (5.84),Asian/Pacific Islander (4.77), and Hispanic women (5.43).
