• Former vice-president Warner wanted on corruption charges
Trinidad and Tobago’s attorney general has signed Authority to Proceed documents,clearing the way for extradition proceedings against the former Fifa vice-president Jack Warner, who is wanted in the United States on corruption charges.
The case was then adjourned until Friday after lawyers asked for time to review the documents. Warner is among nine officials of world football’s governing body, and along with five sports marketing executives,indicted by US prosecutors. He faces 12 charges related to racketeering and bribery.
