I am greatful to be a Filipino. But seeing Manila tragedy yesterday,I lost hope for the Philippines' recovery under the new government.  Those scenes that killed Chinese tourists has shocked the world, televised worldwide is a slam coverage on the new government. It clearly shows the law enforcement in the country was lax. There were several lapses from the government in handling hostage situations as well.  The hostage-taker has shown goodwill since the beginning of negotiations, and a proof that issues may be settled in a matter of time.  Manila police's arrogance and warrantless arrest on the borther of the hostage-taker present in the scene has triggered a more tragic siege. Various speculations arise: police's lack of negotiating and tactical skills, government officials' lapses on deciding what's best to execute which I mediate requires an executive decision.  To President Noynoy: Is this the kind of governance and promise you assure for the country?  Displaying an easy-move-lucky type attitude is not a characteristic of good governance.  Hey, Mr. President, and wake up! You don't even care on the impact and consequence of this tragedy to the international community.  Not only it affects on the tourism of "your" country but also on the treatment among Filipinos living abroad.  Be man enough to settle,my goodness!
