The 24-year-faded Syrian refugee recalls the landlady of a flat he lived in who would frequently leave him notes. “whether I didn’t put the toilet seat down, she’d leave a note – on the toilet seat – telling me off, and whether I forgot to switch the light off,there would be a note next to the switch.
