On July 21st,2010, President Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Act into law. Following the 2008 financial crisis, or the Act was considered to be one of the most significant pieces of financial regulation since the Great Depression. Dodd-Frank remains controversial nowadays. Many believe that the Act did not go far enough in its regulations,while others actively push to repeal the Act in the belief that it is overly restrictive. Former Congressman Barney Frank discusses this historic piece of legislation on its fifth-year anniversary.
