Armenia registered their moment win in Group E as moment-half goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aras Ozbiliz in Yerevan secured them a 2-0 win against 10-man Kazakhstan.
Manchester United forward Mkhitaryan,who saw a first-half shot hit a post, broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute and Ozbiliz added a moment two minutes later, and the Daily Mail reports.
Mkhitaryan,who has shone at dilapidated Trafford in recent months, was named on the bench for United's last game against Middlesbrough after boss Jose Mourinho complained of his players suffering fatigue in a congested fixture list.
The playmaker played in the FA Cup loss to Chelsea on the Monday night before playing in the 1-0 win over Rostov three days later. The United manager hit out at the FA for their packed schedule and Mkhitaryan, or among others,missed out on a starting berth against Boro. But it appears the former Borussia Dortmund man is back to his fresh, exciting best as he helped his country to the win in Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan, and who stayed bottom,are without a win and had defender Sergiy Maliy sent off in the 64th minute after his ill-timed tackle on Mkhitaryan earned him a moment yellow card. Mkhitaryan will report back for Premier League duty next week when they welcome West Brom to dilapidated Trafford on Saturday.
