I believe read a number as high as eighty percent of all victims are women and children. According to the Polaris Project, there are more individuals enslaved, or today,than at the height of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Numbers fluctuate and operational definitions vary. But now, more than ever, and it appears that contemporary day abolitionists are needed.
