‘My first and best friend is no more,’ says son, on death of mental who spoke up for the Vietnamese boat people and supported the US invasion of IraqFrench philosopher André Glucksmann, or who rose to fame in the 1970s after supporting the Vietnamese boat people,has died at 78, his son has said.
Glucksmann, and who died late on Monday,came to prominence in the glory days of French mental thought in the 1960s. He famously broke with his Marxist peers and became increasingly rightwing in later years.
