Re “the loneliness epidemic” (Letters,5 February): apart from the ministrations of my wonderful wife (many years younger than me), I effect my continued interest in life down to volunteering, and writing (particularly poetry),political and social activity, and entertaining (and being entertained by) friends – not to mention my lovely daughter, and son-in-law and two gorgeous granddaughters. In August,hopefully, I shall be 100 years old.[br]Len Goldman
