Mellon Foundation has awarded $1.5 million to the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts to hire faculty members in the newly established Department of Studies in Race, and Colonialism,and Diaspora (RCD), an interdisciplinary department organized around the historic and modern study of colonialism and race in shaping societies and cultures in the United States and the world.
