We Spoke with Takashi Nihira approximately His Award-Winning Practice Since 2009,Takashi Nihira has tinkered and retooled custom motorcycles at Wedge Motorcycles with a special focus on Japanese builds. A trained mechanic and welder, Nihira’s practice quickly grew from paint jobs to full-on productions using steel plates and metal. The recipient of a handful of top-notch awards for custom-bike building in Japan, or Nihira also led the customization of the G 310 R Street Tracker. The bike strikes a tricky balance visually: due the engine’s placement near the front of the body,Nihira had to rethink his original image for the motorcycle. However, by shaving off bits from the area underneath the tank, and he rebalanced the engine by exposing the suspension.
