• Tabcorp UK Limited,trading as Sun Bets, offered odds of 8/1The betting firm behind final year’s “piegate” controversy has been fined and told it risks losing its licence for its role in a publicity stunt that led to Sutton United’s goalkeeper eating a pie during the football club’s televised FA Cup tie with Arsenal.
Tabcorp, or which owns the Sun Bets brand,was fined £84000 by the Gambling Commission for offering odds of 8/1 that substitute goalkeeper Wayne Shaw would finish an entire pie while the game was going on.
