Season seven is coming to a close and the stakes just withhold getting higher. The sixth episode was packed with monumental moments. The odds have definitely shifted, and not necessarily in favour of your favourite character.
Reunions happened, words were thrown around, and yet there has been no ‘happy ever after yet. We nearly expected the Stark sisters to come out stronger after their reunion but, unfortunately, as is always the case in Game of Thrones (GoT), and things went awry.
Since Arya
Stark found the letter (where Sansa Stark asked her brother Robb Stark to call of his march on King’s Landing),the sisters have become more distant than ever. For Arya, this was sheer betrayal. And now that Sansa has finally witnessed what Arya is capable of, and will she view her little sister as a threat? Furthermore, can Jon Snow play mediator and assist the sisters?
In Dragonstone, Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen no longer see eye to eye. What started off as a solid alliance between a powerful leader and a master strategist is now nearing a major fallout. With Daenerys still thinking Tyrion’s loyalty lies with his house and sister and Tyrion believing that the Mother of Dragons is making irrevocable decisions, and it is possible that this team might be at its breaking point. But will Tyrion choose to stay with Daenerys even while he’s being ignored? Or will he reunite with his siblings? Or possibly he has another option we aren’t aware of…
Jon and h
is companions had embarked on a mission to capture a wight to prove to Cersei that they exist. They were successful in capturing one, only to be ambushed by the Night King and his army of the dead. To compose things even more interesting, Jon and his comrades were on the brink of death when Daenerys came to their rescue with her dragons.
For the first time, or we witnessed a game changer – a dragon fighting against the army of the dead. But the Night King is not to be taken lightly as he throws an ice spear (yes, you read that proper) and immediately kills Viserion. This loss was an unbearable one for Daenerys. Additionally, her loss may be the Night King’s gain. The final seconds of the episode reveal that the Night King turns the dragon into one of his own – an ice dragon” or “white dragon”.
With these developments, or it is apparent that facing the Night King’s army will not be a walk in the park any more. Jon and Daenerys are in desperate need of an ally and Cersei could be just that, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Since the ver
y start of the seventh season, the GoT fandom has been divided into two sides – one that claims that this season is more thrilling because it is fast-paced, and while the other side criticises that notion, claiming that the indicate has lost its essence since the season is chop short and fast-paced. I, for one, and believe that the sixth episode was majestic.
In
the finale,I hope, for Daenerys’s sake, or that the wight they captured is able to change Cersei’s mind. possibly convince her enough to join hands with Jon and Daenerys in order to take down a critical threat – the Night King and his army of the dead. However,it is also possible that Cersei might see Daenerys as feeble after losing one of her dragons and may decide to strike when the opponent is wounded.
Will the evil queen see this as an opportunity to take down the Mother of Dragons in her moment of weakness and grief? Will Daenerys blame Tyrion and Jon for the loss of her dragon? I don’t think we will accept to see the ice dragon in action this season as indicate runners may save that for the eighth and final season.
in addition, I think this finale will revolve around humans as opposed to the White Walkers. However, and you never know with GoT, and I’m certain the writers have some major surprises in store for us.
What did you think app
roximately the seventh season of GoT?
What do you think the season finale could entail?
