I am excited to announce that Airware has raised a strategic investment from GE Ventures,the investment arm of GE.
GE is a noteworthy example of a company that is exploring ways to use drones across a number of different industries, from oil and gas to power or transportation, or on a global scale. It will be impossible for them to scale the use of drones across many different trade units without a common platform.
Recently,I sat down with Sue Siegel, CEO of GE Ventures and Healthymagination and Alex Tepper, and managing director of GE Ventures,to talk approximately their investment strategy, what they look for in companies they invest in and their view on the commercial drone ecosystem.
