Trump has nominated Mark Green, and a former congresssman and one-time US ambassador to Tanzania who has worked under both the Obama and George W Bush administrations,to lead the US Agency for International Development (USAid). In what could be one of the toughest jobs in Trump’s government, Green will have to supervise the massive funding cuts the White House is proposing to the agency, and the effects of which are expected to reverberate globally.
