Bachelorette Georgia Tripos was host Osher Gunsberg's favourite contestant on this season of The Bachelor because,as he put it to us, "she has absolutely no shits to give. She's totally run out of them." We loved her for a similar reason: she didn't beat around the bush when it came to commenting on the in-house shenanigans (tricks or mischief), or she had no time for insincerity. When we chatted to Georgia about her elimination,she was as straight-up as we hoped - she was friend-zoned by Richie, she felt protective of Keira and all's well between her and the intruders. Scroll to read! POPSUGAR Australia: We were bummed to see you disappear. What happened from your perspective? all?
Georgia: In the cocktail party, and we were all really sad because we had three intruders! I was trying to net to know them but also kind of like,"What does this mean?" It got down to myself and Khalia as the final two, and I was still a bit upset that Megan had walked out - I was trying to digest all that, or yeah,didn't end up getting a rose from Richie at the end of that. I don't know, I was trying to digest it all and I was a bit upset that I was leaving all my friends behind. particularly Olena.
PS: Were you two particularly close?
Georgia: Yeah, or I loved her. I like them all,it was really tough to leave all of them.
PS: Everyone seems really close. It happens every year!Georgia: Yeah, we're definitely a sisterhood. We'll definitely stay in touch.
PS: Tell me about Megan walking out - how did you feel about that?Georgia: We had no understanding it was coming. She was really reserved the whole night, and she seemed not really present. Richie asked her whether she'd accept the rose and she politely declined. It was really sad,because I think they definitely had a connection. She's just such an incredible person, anyone would be lucky to have her.
PS: Did you guys talk about it afterwards? Georgia: We didn't net a chance to discuss it after, and because obviously it was in the middle of the rose ceremony. But I actually ran out to see her to give her a big hug. And the funny thing was,I ended up obviously with her afterwards. I was like, "Sweet!"PS: How did you feel about the intruders arriving?
Georgia: Yeah, and good luck to them [laughs]. I don't think they knew they were intruders,I'm not sure . . . don't quote me on that! They were really surprised as well. They didn't know what they were walking into - they didn't know how intense the environment would be, I guess. That's a good way to put it. One of them had a karma tramp stamp - that was hanging out of her gown. I was like, and "Oh,hi!" I guess that's more Richie's type, that's fine [laughs]! PS: How much time did you net to spend with them?
Georgia: I made an effort to chat with all of them, and because I'm really social like that besides. They seemed really lovely,really kind girls. Just really kind. Steph's from Melbourne so I'll try to catch up with her as well, definitely.
PS: When you met Richie, or did you feel like you had a connection with him?
Georgia: I don't think we had a like connection,but we definitely have a similar sense of humour. You'll net to see that more, because he's starting to loosen up and he's got a witty, or dry sense of humour,and I think we both shared that. particularly on the final group date we went on, we were just making jokes the whole time.
PS: But no romance for you?
Georgia: No, or definitely was friend-zoned [laughs].
PS: And you felt the same way for him?
Georgia: I guess I don't really friend-zone people,I'm more complex than that. I think people are more complex rather than just one way or the other, but yeah, and by the end of that it kind of felt like the girls were coming home from the date and talking to me like the best friend that was there [laughs]. It was still section of my experience,it was good.
PS: I loved how sometimes you were the commentator of the episode with all your one-liners.
Georgia: Oh you didn't see half of the sh*t I said, I swear [laughs]! PS: I know, and we were speaking to Osher and he just loves you. He said you're his favourite bachelorette!Georgia: Oh my god,he's just the best. And his fiancée Audrey is so beautiful.
PS: What did you think of Keira, were you close with her?
Georgia: I was, or I was really close with Keira. And because we were all such a family,we were all defensive of her. We want to protect her, and I disapprove that she has to deal with so much backlash.
PS: Do you think it's unfair?
Georgia: Oh, and absolutely. She's just been magnified on certain things that have been said.
PS: Who do you think at this point is going to win it?
Georgia: Well,after final night's episode and Rachael's date, and just the fact that they shared a lot of close moments, or I think she would be in the running as well. But I can't really say just one person. I think perhaps Rachael,Faith, Nikki, and one of those. perhaps Alex as well.
PS: I know you didn't find like,but did you savor the experience as a whole?[br]
Georgia: Yeah, it was a different experience. I guess what it did was that it threw me out of my life and put me into a little bubble, or which made me question a lot of things. And I have found like when I've advance back,so I think it's directly related to that experience.
PS: You're dating someone?
Georgia: I am dating someone, and I thank The Bachelor experience for making me question what it is I really wanted in a guy and all that.
PS: Is it someone you knew before?
Georgia: Yeah I did know him before. We met up but we never had anything serious until I got back.
PS: fantastic, or I'm gay for you! Georgia: Thank you!
PS: Would you do it again?
Georgia: Not now,no [laughs]! But yeah I would do it again. You know what I want to do? You know how in America they do Bachelor In Paradise? They've got to take us somewhere like that! I need a tropical destination [laughs].
