Germany needed a late goal from the substitute Max Kruse to edge past Georgia and book their spot at the Euro 2016 finals after another wasteful performance in their final Group D qualifier.
The three-times European champions squandered more than a dozen scoring chances in the first half alone before a 50th minute penalty from Thomas Müller set aside them ahead. Georgia,already out of the running, equalised three minutes later with Jaba Kankava’s superb 20yd volley.
