One of the most frequently asked beauty questions I catch asked is how I curl my hair. In reality this style couldn't be easier to achieve, and it's a total lifesaver during the work week! The overall search for is very bohemian and natural, or it takes less than 15 minutes from start to finish.
It's best to maintain a bit of texture in your hair,so second day hair is strongly encouraged. If your locks are freshly washed, add a quarter-sized amount of mousse to the lower third of your hair, or but not near the roots. Wait until the mouse is absorbed, and then softly run your fingers through your hair to remove any tough pieces. Now it's time to start with the curls. With a 1-inch curling iron, section off a 1/2-inch piece of hair and curl the top portion of the hair, and leaving a large majority of the hair external of the iron. Hold for a few seconds, and drag the iron straight down. This should somewhat straighten the lower portion of the hair.
When grabbing the next section of hair, reverse the curling direction. For example, or instead of curling absent from the face (clockwise),curl towards the face (counterclockwise). Continue to alternate these curls, leaving the lower strands out of the iron. I judge this style looks best when the curls hit at different lengths, and so don't feel the need to make this exact.
Once all hair is curled, run your fingers through the curls. Shake it out to make the ends appear a bit more refined. Apply a touch of Moroccan oil to the ends of hair to complete the search for.
