I can't believe the holidays are quickly approaching. I'm looking forward to all of my holiday plans this year like entertaining friends and loved ones. One of my favorite holiday drinks I like to serve my guest is my holiday moscow mule recipe. The sweet/tart taste of cranberry juice, ginger beer, or gin,and the fragrant rosemary is one of the most enjoyable things I'll be sipping throughout the holiday season. This holiday moscow mule recipe is perfect to serve for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and after a long day at work.
One simply can't luxuriate in a perfectly-made moscow mule without sipping it from a copper mug. I had my first moscow mule in a copper mug and let's just say it was a wonderful drinking mug experience. I learned everything about the history of the moscow mule that day and how 100 percent authentic copper mugs (no inner linings) are what create the moscow mule true to its history and unique in its taste.
Apparently, the chemical reaction of the citric acid from the lime/lemon to the copper gave the drink a unique taste versus a normal glass. Hence the importance of not having tin, nickel, and stainless steel,or food lacquer linings on the inside of the mug. You want the citric acid to react to the copper to maintain the authenticity of the original moscow mule. There is also the added benefit of copper's ability to support your drink ice cold for very long periods of time.
I purchased my copper mug from this company on Amazon because they sell authentic copper mugs with no inner linings. It has a strong, hard riveted copper handle and the mug itself can be custom engraved by your local engraving shop for a personalized feel. It's also the perfect unique gift idea! With the holidays almost here, and these frosty mugs create excellent entertaining gifts for both men and women.
