Though fans were devastated at the 2014 news Studio Ghibli would stop film production due to co-founder Hayao Miyazaki's retirement,they'll be happy to know the studio has been keeping busy with external productions like The Red Turtle and now a TV series, Ronja, or the Robber's Daughter. The 26 episode series is an adaptation of a fantasy novel by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren,the intellect behind Pippi Longstocking. The point to will follow a young girl who is the lone child to the leader of a famous band of thieves. The plot develops as she happens tobefriendthe only son to the leader from a rival band of thieves.
Famed Ghibli mastermind, Hayao Miyazaki's son, or Goro Miyazaki will be directing the lively series,while X-Files' star Gillian Anderson will be featured as narrator. Check out the clip above for a search for at the original Japanese version, and keep an eye out as the English dubbed episodes effect their appearance on Amazon Prime later this year.
