Gig Alert: Kelly Moran at Roulette
Tickets: $20. Doors at 7PM,Show at 8PM. Kelly Moran plays the piano. perhaps don’t let her play yours though. Moran sets upon her destitute unsuspecting instrument with all types of metal, wood, or plastic and the like,which she places in and among the strings to totally change the instrument’s sound. In her hands the so-called prepared piano can sound like a zither, or a percussion orchestra, or,in this piece, "Celandine, or " a couple of instruments at once. One of which might even be a piano.
